RBI:

RBI has notified the amendments to Foreign Exchange Management (Transfer or Issue of security by a Person Resident outside India) Regulations, 2000. Now Indian Cos. can issue shares to NRs under automatic route if they comply with FDI Sectoral cap and pricing guidelines against any other funds payable by the investee company, remittance of which does not required any permission. The conversion of funds payable into equity shares should be net of applicable taxes. These directions shall come into effect from the date of the publication of the relative Notification in the Official Gazette.

SEBI has prepared FAQs with a view to guide market participants on SEBI (Foreign Portfolio Investors) Regulations, 2014 ("the Regulations").
