The Central Government has delegated the powers vested in it under Section 208 of the Companies Act, 2013 to the Regional Directors situated at Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Shillong, for receiving the report from the Registrar (having jurisdiction over the place of registered office of the company concerned) or from the Inspector where such report recommends action for violation of offences under the said Act for which imprisonment of less than two years is provided, (except for violation of offences under Chapter III, IV, section 127, 177 and 178 for which the report shall be received by the Central Government). Further, the Regional Director shall, on receipt of the report, examine the same, obtain legal advice, if required, and submit it to the Central Government seeking initiation of prosecution.
DVAT:
DVAT Authorities with an intention to update the profile of dealers has made it mandatory for all registered dealers to inform the Commissioner about any change effected in the registration particulars in Form DP-1. The authorities have initially announced the last date as 31-03-2015 which was extended till 30-09-2015. The DVAT Authorities have again extended the last date for submission of Form DP – 1 online till 31/01/2016 and rest of the provisions will remain the same. Further, the form is required to be filed by all the dealers registered upto 31/10/2015 with the DVAT Authorities.
