CBDT – DTAA:
The Central Government has entered into agreement for Amendment to DTAA with Kingdom of Denmark and shall be effective from 1st February, 2015. Through this amendment Article 26 has been replaced by the new Article 26 and contracting States shall exchange all such information, including documents, as is foreseeably relevant for carrying out the provisions of DTAA or for enforcement of the domestic laws. All such information shall be treated as secret and shall only be disclosed to persons or authorities concerned with the assessment or before the judicial court.
DGFT:
The new Foreign Trade Policy 2015-20 has identified trade facilitation and enhancing the ease of doing business and to move towards paperless processing. In this regard, a facility has been provided to importer/ exporter to upload his basic details and documents in the Importer-Exporter Profile. Accordingly all registered IEC holders are required to update their Importer – Exporter Profile by 15th June, 2015 by logging into the DGFT website and clicking on the icon “IEC Profile Updation” and updating the requisite information with their digital signature. Further, all EPCs are requested to update the details of RCMCs issued to its members on the DGFT website, for linking of the same with the Importer-Exporter Profiles latest by 15th June, 2015 so that their members can avail the benefit of paper-less submission of applications.
