DGFT has mandated to submit IEC applications online with effect from 01.01.2015. However, due to some unforeseen technical problems it has not been possible to operationalise the new online IEC system. Therefore, till such time the new online system is operationalised and made effective, from a new date to be notified subsequently, applicants seeking to obtain IEC may fill the Application Form and submit requisite documents and fees (Rs.250/) to the concerned jurisdictional RAs as per the procedure, as existing prior to 01/01/2015.
CBDT:
CBDT has come out with the Draft of Income Computation and Disclosure Standard [ICDS] for Accounting Policies. This Income Computation and Disclosure Standard is applicable for computation of income chargeable under the head “Profits and gains of business or profession” or “Income from other sources” and not for the purpose of maintenance of books of accounts. Further, in the case of conflict between the provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961 (‘the Act’) and this Income Computation and Disclosure Standard, the provisions of the Act shall prevail to that extent.
