CBEC – Central Excise:

CBEC Authorities have issued Instructions regarding Detailed Scrutiny of Central Excise Returns by the departmental officers A returns scrutiny process consists of two parts viz. preliminary scrutiny and detailed scrutiny. While the preliminary scrutiny system covers all the returns filed online, detailed scrutiny system covers a few returns selected on the basis of identified risk parameters. Detailed Scrutiny of Central Excise returns should be conducted regularly by the officers in the field following the prescribed procedure. Detailed scrutiny of a minimum of 2% and maximum of 5% of the total returns received in a month shall be mandatorily performed by the proper officer. A assessee who has been selected for audit in a given financial year shall not be selected for detailed scrutiny. Further, once the return of an assessee has been selected for detailed scrutiny, the return of the assesse should not be selected again for the next 12 months for detailed scrutiny.

Make in India – Use of logo:

The Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP), has launched extensive international & domestic media campaigns under the Make in India initiative. The “Make in India” Logo and other related proprietary material are valuable assets of DIPP. Accordingly, the policy for use of "Make in India" Logo by various Government / Semi Government / Private Authorities has been approved by the competent authority in DIPP. All establishments, offices and officers of the DIPP, All Central Government Ministries/Departments and Departments of State Governments/UT Administrations for use in programmes directly organized by them. Further for use of logo for Events, Publications, Websites / Portals by an individual, permission for use of the "Make in India‟ logo would be considered on merit on case to case basis.
